This recipe makes an approx. 16-18 scones
Ingredients
- 4 cups Self Raising Flour, sifted
- 1 teaspoon Bush Blend Gourmet Salt
- 80g butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cups lemonade
Method
Preheat the oven to 180°, fan forced and line a baking tray with baking paper
Add flour, Bush Blend and butter into a mixing bowl
Using your hands start squeezing the butter into the flour making a bread crumb-like consistency
Once your butter is mostly moulded and combined into the mixture, gradually add the lemonade until you are left with a dough like consistency
Sprinkle flour onto your work bench and flatten out the dough with your hands until roughly 1 inch thickness
Using a scone cutter, if you don't have one a glass or cup will work fine, press into the dough to create your scone
Place your scones onto the baking tray and bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown
Once out of the oven enjoy with your favourite jam and cream
