Omelette with Desert Raisin Salt

Omelette with Desert Raisin Salt

Ingredients:

  • 2 large eggs
  • A dash of milk
  • A pinch of desert raisin salt
  • Cheese, grated (optional)
  • Oil, for greasing the pan

Instructions:

  1. Crack the eggs into a bowl, add a dash of milk, and sprinkle in the desert raisin salt. Whisk until well combined.
  2. Heat a pan over medium heat. If you're concerned about sticking, oil the pan lightly.
  3. Pour the egg mixture into the pan and let it cook until it's almost completely solid (the edges should start to lift from the pan).
  4. Sprinkle your choice of cheese evenly across the surface of the egg.
  5. Once the cheese begins to melt, gently fold half of the omelette over to form a semi-circle.
  6. Wait for about 30 seconds to allow the cheese and egg to stick together.
  7. Flip the omelette to the other side and cook for an additional 30 seconds or so to ensure it’s fully cooked.
  8. Remove the omelette from the pan and serve immediately while warm.

To Serve:

You can enjoy this omelette with a drizzle of your favourite sauce, such as BBQ, Worcestershire or soy sauce.

For a more filling and flavour-packed version, try adding some extra ingredients before folding the omelette:

  • Brown onion (diced)
  • Kalamata olives (sliced)
  • Tomato (diced)
  • Capsicum (diced)
  • Bacon (diced)
  • Chorizo (diced)

Basically, any vegetables or toppings you have in the fridge can be added to create your own perfect loaded omelette!
