Chicken and Cheese Toast with Bush Blend

Ingredients:

  • 1 slice of sourdough bread, lightly toasted
  • Leftover roast chicken, shredded
  • Cheese (cheddar, mozzarella or your favourite), grated 
  • A pinch of bush blend seasoning
  • Fresh chives, snipped with scissors
  • A handful of alfalfa sprouts, for topping

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven or grill to medium-high.
  2. Lightly toast the slice of sourdough bread until just golden.
  3. Remove the toast from the oven, then layer on the shredded roast chicken.
  4. Sprinkle a pinch of bush blend seasoning over the chicken for added flavour.
  5. Top with cheese, then place back in the oven and grill until the cheese is melted and golden.
  6. Remove from the oven, then use scissors to snip fresh chives directly over the toast.
  7. Add a handful of alfalfa sprouts on top for extra freshness and crunch.

Tip:

Snipping chives directly over the toast with scissors saves time and effort!
